The Ontario Ministry of Finance’s Tax Compliance and Benefits Division has made a recent change to its filing options under the Estate Administration Tax Act, 1998. An online submission service for the Estate Information Return is now available; it can be accessed by visiting www.Ontario.ca/estateadmintax or by clicking here.
The online submission of the Estate Information Return is secure, accessible 24 hours, 7 days a week and is free of charge. It provides:
- Automatic email acknowledgement of the ministry’s receipt of the Estate Information Return
- The ability to save the Estate Information Return to a personal computer
- The ability to print a copy of the return
