Congratulations to David Sterns who has been elected Second Vice-President of the Ontario Bar Association. David is a partner at Sotos LLP of Toronto. Congratulations also to Lynne Vicars who has been elected as the OBA’s Treasurer. Lynne is senior legal counsel at Scotiabank.

On July 1, 2014, amendments to the Rules of Civil Procedure came into force allowing the Court to stay or dismiss proceedings and motions, on its own initiative, which it considers frivolous, vexatious, or an otherwise an abuse of the process of the court.

The OBA welcomes the 2014-2015 Canadian Corporate Counsel Association - Ontario Chapter Section Executive. The new executive takes over in August 15th, 2014.
