The recent Ontario budget has cut funding to Legal Aid Ontario by $133 million, retroactive to April 1, 2019. The Advocates Centre for the Elderly has issued an urgent message to its stakeholders requesting their support by either (i) contacting the Premier, the Attorney General or your local MPP or (ii) by telling your story about how ACE, another legal aid clinic or anyone in Legal Aid Ontario assisted you or someone in your life.
