Lawyers Lead Free Public Information Sessions During Make A Will Month Everyone needs a properly drafted will. This month, the Ontario Bar Association (OBA) and its members will be promoting the importance of wills as they mark Make A Will Month with free virtual legal information sessions in every region of the province.

New Portal Connects People Facing Eviction with Volunteer Lawyers

Commencing April 1, 2021, a simplified probate process will be available for small estates valued at up to $150,000 as an alternative to the current probate process.

As of March 1, 2021, both the Divorce Act and the Children’s Law Reform Act will be amended to include significant changes to divorce, separation and parenting. The changes to the Divorce Act include amendments to the Central Registry of Divorce Proceedings regulation under that act.
