What is your current position?
I am legal counsel for the Compliance and Regulation Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission. I am part of a team that investigates registrant conduct, which includes suitability reviews of registered firms and individuals as well as applicants for registration, and then makes recommendations for regulatory action as needed. Regulatory action may include terms and conditions imposed on registration, suspension or registration, etc.
Why did you join the Public Sector Lawyers Executive?
I am a strong proponent of public service and I enjoy that my legal practice engages public interest elements. It’s important for public sector lawyers to remain connected and informed about other areas of public law.
