Sometimes in-house counsel may want to do research before sending out requests to external counsel. Here are some free resources that might be helpful for you in your daily practice.

The Law Insider has precedent clauses based on American contracts that are part of SEC filings of public companies. It also has full contracts, from purchase agreements to employment agreements.

Lancaster House has a free eText on employment law, which is tucked away in Canlii. There are great articles linking to other case law that is also available on Canlii. https://www.canlii.org/en/commentary.html

This custom Google search, which was created by lawyer and law librarian Ted Tjaden, compiles articles and newsletters from law firms, which is a great starting point for a broad overview. The home page will link you to his website; a great resource full of many more links.

Access CLE is offered by the Law Society of Upper Canada and there is free access to certain older publications.
