Statement from the Ontario Bar Association regarding the recent shooting at the Brampton Courthouse

The Ontario Bar Association extends its deep appreciation and wishes for a speedy recovery to Constable Mike Klarenbeek of Peel Regional Police, who was shot while on duty providing security at the at the A. Grenville and William Davis Court in Brampton.

The OBA is also deeply appreciative to all the first responders at the courthouse, including police, paramedics, ambulance and firefighters, as well as all the court staff.

The OBA also appreciates all the police and court security officers across the province who work hard to keep our court houses safe.
