This Notice to the Public and Profession applies to proceedings in the Superior Court of Justice, Central South Region, effective February 1, 2024.
The following types of proceedings have been updated to be presumptively in person:
- Bail Hearings
- Civil Long Motions
- Applications
The need for in person interpreters has also been added as a factor to consider in changing the presumptive mode of hearing.
Designated motion dates are introduced for:
- Civil motions in Central South region, and
- Family motions in Brantford, Cayuga and Simcoe.
In person / hybrid appearances are confirmed for short civil motions at Hamilton Sopinka.
