MAG has learned that an OPS employee who works at the Brampton courthouse has tested positive for COVID-19. The person was last present on Friday, December 4th, 2020. They were not symptomatic while in the courthouse, and have confirmed that they adhered to all transmission control precautions while present. They developed COVID symptoms on the evening of December 4th, and also became aware that they had been in close contact with a positive case. They were tested on December 8th , and received positive results on December 13th. This person is currently self-isolating as a normal public health preventative procedure and is following the direction of medical professionals.
