The Tax Court of Canada’s Hamilton location is closed indefinitely, effective immediately. The Hamilton location will not re-open until the Chief Justice is satisfied that no further safety concerns exist for the public, staff and judiciary due to the encampment and related activities adjacent to the Court.
There will be no Registry services provided at the site during the closure. Parties wishing to file documents at the Hamilton location may bring them to a court security officer at the site, but are strongly encouraged to contact the Registry for alternative filing options.
All parties with matters scheduled to occur during the closure will be contacted directly by Registry staff in the coming days.
