Zoom fatigue is the tiredness, worry, or burnout associated with overusing virtual platforms of communication. During COVID-19, most of us have experienced this fatigue in various forms. Here are some quick tips to combat it. They aren’t cast in stone so please feel free to recalibrate them as per your needs.

1.     Take regular breaks

Lawyers are known to have a sedentary lifestyle. Try going for a walk to a nearby park or just a short stroll down the street. A change of scenery is good. Connect with nature, get some fresh air, do some yoga or even create a work-music playlist to uplift the mood.

2.     Fix that eye discomfort

It is common for lawyers to experience some discomfort in the eyes due to long screen times. To fix this, you can use your desktop or PC on dark mode or night shift (blue light filter) even during the day. Regularly lubricate your eyes with artificial tear drops, if there’s dryness or irritation in the eyes. Splash some water, if you’re not comfortable with such eye drops.

3.     Change your surroundings

A change in surroundings in your work space is known to have a positive effect on the human psyche. Small changes such as introducing green plants or colorful flowers, putting a framed painting or poster art can alleviate one’s mood.
