Attorney General Doug Downey has named Justice Sandra Bacchus as a new regional senior justice to the Ontario Court of Justice. Justice Bacchus will replace Regional Senior Justice Aston Hall, in the Toronto region, effective June 3.
Justice Bacchus was appointed to the Ontario Court of Justice in 2011. Since her appointment, Justice Bacchus has sat on various committees including Chair of the Ontario Justice Education Network (OJEN) Toronto committee (2013 – 2016), the National Judicial Institute’s (NJI) Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Video committee, and various New Toronto Courthouse subcommittees.
