The Ontario Bar Association congratulates former OBA President Justice Paul Sweeny on his appointment as Regional Senior Judge of the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario for the Central South Region. Justice Sweeny replaces Justice H. Arrell, who elected to become a supernumerary judge in June.
Justice Sweeny was president of the association in 2011-2012. A long-time volunteer with the United Way and other organizations, he used his time as OBA president to highlight the contributions lawyers make to the communities where they live and work.
The OBA wishes Justice Sweeny all the best as he begins his new role.
