“mOBAlize the vote” 2018

In the lead-up to the 2018 Ontario Election, the OBA has created “mOBAlize the vote,” a members-only area of its website, designed to connect OBA members with key features of the 2018 Ontario Election.

New Bail Directive Released

On October 30, 2017 the province announced a new Bail Directive, which is an attempt to respond to court delays (post-R. v. Jordan) and reduce the number of individuals awaiting trial in custody.

MAG enhancing e-Filing service on October 23, 2017, available across Ontario in November.

  • October 24, 2017

This year the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General introduced a new online service for filing civil claims for six locations in the Superior Court of Justice. The service, which can be accessed here, has been available in the pilot locations of Brampton, Ottawa, London, Newmarket and Sudbury for approximately five months and in Toronto for two months.
