OBA CONGRATULATES THE HONOURABLE CHRISTINE ELLIOTT, ONTARIO’S NEW DEPUTY PREMIER AND MINISTER OF HEALTH AND LONG-TERM CARE

The Ontario Bar Association congratulates the Honourable Christine Elliott on her appointment today as Ontario’s new Deputy Premier and Minister of Health and Long-Term Care.

Minister Elliott is a highly respected public servant, lawyer and long-time contributor to the OBA. She practiced law until 2006 when she was first elected to the Ontario Legislature. Since 2015, she has served as Ontario’s first Patient Ombudsman. Over the years, she has generously contributed her time and leadership to OBA events and initiatives. She is a dedicated lawyer, public servant and colleague and we look forward to continuing to work with her in her new roles as Deputy Premier and Minister of Health and Long-Term Care.
