Ontario Implements Provincewide Emergency Brake

Thursday afternoon, the provincial government announced that it is imposing a provincewide emergency brake in response to rising rates of COVID-19 across Ontario, beginning at 12:01 am on Saturday, April 3, 2021. The emergency brake is expected to last for at least four weeks.

The emergency break puts limits on indoor and outdoor events and social gatherings, restricts capacity for in-person shopping, prohibits personal care services, prohibits indoor and outdoor dining, requires day camps to close, restricts the use of sport and recreational facilities.
