The following was communicated to all candidates on March 13, 2020
Over the past several weeks, the Law Society has been monitoring the situation regarding the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Having regard to the public interest and the safety of all candidates, employees, and the public, today the Law Society has determined that the March 17, 2020, solicitor licensing examination will be cancelled.
The Law Society understands the impact that this decision has on licensing candidates and has not made the decision lightly. As it has been doing over the past several weeks, the Law Society will continue to explore options available to minimize the impact on candidates. At this time, candidates may continue to register for the June licensing examinations.
