IMPORTANT UPDATE ON THE JOB MARKET FOR LAW SCHOOL STUDENTS & NEW CALLS
As workplaces continue to find new ways of doing business in a virtual world and within the frameworks of the province’s response to COVID-19, many law school students and new calls are having to find new ways of building their work experience. Even jobs in other sectors that students have typically relied on to help pay for their schooling are disappearing.
In response, the OBA’s strong and supportive community of lawyers are working to find ways that they can help future lawyers develop their skills, build connections in the profession, and provide meaningful opportunities to contribute to the future of the profession.
If you were not planning to hire a summer student this year but have a shorter term placement or some project-specific work you are encouraged to post the position or project role here. You can use the OBA’s job board to get the help you need when you need it and help give students the skill and experience that will help them build up references, find mentors, and learn to practice law. All short-term projects (even as short as two-weeks) are welcome.
To submit a career opportunity that may be of interest to a member of the Ontario Bar Association, please select the Post a Job button at the top of the page. To learn more about who can join the OBA, please visit our Membership Information page.
Please note: The OBA Legal Career Centre is a free-of-charge posting service. The OBA does not screen firms, organizations or the individuals posting job opportunities and the content of each posting is relevant to the author, not the OBA. The OBA makes no endorsement or recommendations for the postings. Any concerns regarding a posting should be directed to the respective author.
