Ontario Condominium Law Advisory Group

About:

According to the Condominium Authority of Ontario, there are over 839,000 residential condominium units in Ontario and 50% of new home enrollments are condominiums. There are over 11,000 condominium corporations across Ontario.

The central aims of the Ontario Condominium Law Advisory Group (“OCLAG”) is to enhance the legal knowledge of practitioners in the area of condominium law through various continuing education programs to advocate on legislative and policy changes on a province wide consultation basis, and to recognize the value of condominium industries embracing business law, real estate law, administrative law, not-for-profit law, etc., and other areas of law such as human rights, while aiming to achieve cross-pollination between the OBA Sections.

Through the Ontario Bar Association (“OBA”), condominium law practitioners of all types (pre-development and post-development condominium lawyers) will have the opportunity to connect with diverse and experienced members of the bar in other OBA sections to improve the area of law and expand knowledge mobilization. Practitioners in other areas of law will also have an opportunity to connect and network with the leading experts in condominium law to better understand the dynamics of condominium law. The OCLAG is designed for anyone with condominium clients or an interest towards learning about new and emerging legal issues affecting the condominium industry.

Join the OCLAG to keep current in this area of the law with a collegial group of lawyers.
