A lawyer, Quebec notary or judge who has been called to a Canadian Bar. A law professor with a recognized Canadian law degree who is working at a recognized law school in Canada. Judicial members have the right to attend all meetings of the Association and to have a deliberative voice therein but do not have the right to vote, hold office or propose or second resolutions, except as permitted in the Bylaws or Regulations.

A lawyer in his/her first three (3) years of call to a Canadian Bar. Lawyers who qualify for this category can enjoy everything the CBA has to offer for their first three (3) years of call to a Canadian Bar at a 55% reduction in the membership fee.

CBA membership is Free for law school students who have not been called to a Canadian Bar and who are enrolled at a recognized law school in Ontario. This category is also available to NCA students attending a recognized law school in Ontario to achieve their  NCA accreditation.

Get 70% off your CBA membership. Available to individuals articling with a Canadian law firm or enrolled in a Bar Admissions course (admission to first Canadian law society).

 Get 70% off your CBA membership. Available to individuals eligible under another membership category but currently undertaking full-time graduate legal studies at a recognized law school or Bar Admission studies to be admitted to another Canadian law society.

Get 45% off your CBA membership. Available to lawyers, Quebec notaries or judges aged 60 years or more, or who have been members in good standing of the Bar or Law Society for 20 years or more, and who have retired by resigning from the Law Society or the Bench.

Get 45% off your CBA membership. Available to individuals in good standing of a Bar or Law Society outside Canada, and not otherwise eligible for membership under another CBA membership category.  Proof of international designation must be supplied.

Get 50% off your CBA membership. Eligibility is based on provincial/territorial law societies recognition of non-practicing status.

A regular member who is not working the full work week. Individuals are eligible for this category if their law society or insurer recognizes part-time status – currently only Ontario and British Columbia. Lawyers who qualify for this category can enjoy everything the CBA has to offer for a 50% reduction in the membership fee.
