On June 12, 2013 the Young Lawyers' Division - East celebrated the end of another successful year at Vetta Osteria in Ottawa

On June 5th, the Women Lawyers Forum had a launch party event which included the ‘premiere’ of a short video celebrating the rich history and contributions of FLAC as well as a sneak peek at some plans for the up-coming year.

On May 30, 2013 the Inaugural Randall echlin Mentorship Award was presented to M. Norman Grosman, Grosman, Grosman & Gale LLP.

On May 29, 2013 Gale Rubenstein was presented the Murray Klien Award for Excellence in Insolvency Law.

On May 28, 2013 the CCCA Ontario Chapter Award of Excellence was presented to Christa Wessel at the Archeo, Toronto.

On Monday, May 27, 2013 the OBA hosted the Annual Reception for the Judiciary of Ontario and the presentation of the Heather McArthur Memorial Award.

On May 22, 2013 the OBA Award of Excellence in Trusts and Estates Law was presented to Margaret R. O'Sullivan.

On May 22, 2013 the YLD East Section held a social at the Wine Bar, Ottawa.

On May 15, 2013 the OBA Award of Excelllence in Insurance Law was presented to Roger G. Oatley Oatley, Vigmond LLP and Bruce A. Thomas, Q.C.,Thomas Gold Pettingill LLP.

On May 9, 2013, the OBA Public Sector Section recognizes Kim Twohig, General Counsel, Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General - Crown Law Office (Civil) with the OBA Tom Marshall Award of Excellence for Public Sector Lawyers.
