Now, we need to reach back and ensure there are future leaders ready to build a solid path through a new world,” says Agarwal, a partner and co-head of class actions practice at Bennett Jones, who will also focus on access to justice during his mandate. “My predecessors championed equity, diversity and inclusion from the perspectives of lived experience and in the role of trusted allies. I want to continue their work as both. In my year, the OBA will celebrate the many cultures we are lucky enough to have among our members.”

All board members for the 2022-2023 term will assume their positions on Sept. 1.
