Biography
Admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2005, received a BA in Political Science from York University and a LL.B Law from the University of Windsor. I honed my skills practicing criminal law in Toronto and structured finance, asset finance and international law at an international firm in Germany. I continue to advance my legal knowledge through additional certifications, teach accredited programs for lawyers, regularly contribute to legal journals and share my expertise through media requests.
Ningjing Zhang
Biography
Natalie grew up in a military family in Shanghai, where she developed a deep respect for discipline, integrity, and service — values that continue to guide her work today. Her path to the legal profession was not straightforward. Once a refugee herself, Natalie and her children lived in a women’s shelter for 3.5 years before she entered Queen’s Law. That lived experience gave her not only resilience but also profound empathy for clients facing uncertainty and hardship. Before becoming a lawyer, Natalie earned a Ph.D. in History and built a promising academic career, teaching and conducting research at world-class institutions such as Fudan University (China), Stanford University (U.S.), and Queen’s University (Canada). Her strong academic training sharpened her research and analytical skills, which she now applies to developing effective legal strategies for her clients. Today, Natalie is one of the few refugee-turned-lawyers in Canada. She practices immigration and refugee law, real estate, and business law, with a special focus on helping immigrants and immigrant entrepreneurs establish their lives and businesses in Ontario. As both a small business owner and an immigrant herself, she understands the challenges and opportunities newcomers face. Natalie is committed to making high-quality legal services accessible, efficient, and client-centered. She recognizes how much every dollar means to immigrant families and strives to provide services that are not only professional and effective but also mindful of her clients’ realities. For her, practicing law is more than a career — it is a calling rooted in social justice, gratitude, and a desire to pay forward the help she once received. When she is not practicing law, Natalie enjoys spending time with her family (and their recently rescued dog Wonzy), volunteering in her community, and mentoring the next generation of legal professionals.
Tinju Thomas
Biography
I am a Corporate Commercial Lawyer with over a decade of legal experience. I hold a Master’s degree in Law from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., and am qualified to practice in both India and Ontario. Before beginning my practice in Canada, I worked in Bahrain and India, advising a wide range of businesses on corporate structuring, compliance, and governance matters. My practice focuses on Corporate Commercial Law, including corporate transactions such as incorporations, amalgamations, rollovers, share transfers and revivals. I also draft and review a variety of legal documents, such as agreements, resolutions and termination letters. Additionally, I support not-for-profit organizations and charities with by-law drafting, compliance guidance, and regulatory updates.

Results-driven lawyer with 20+ years of experience in information privacy law and technology. Assists clients extract the value inherent in data, while managing the complex risks associated with data. Adept at drafting and reviewing contracts and internal policies in accordance with applicable regulations. A member of the Ontario Bar in good standing. Executive member of Privacy and Access Section of the OBA.
Kathleen Louise Robichaud
Biography
Kathleen Robichaud is a sole practitioner practicing in Manotick, Ontario. Her practice is a solicitors practice meaning she works in the areas of Real Estate Law - both commercial and residential; Wills and Estates - including Estate Planning and she also practices Business Law including Incorporations; Partnerships; Buying and Selling a Business and Succession arrangements for businesses and business owners. She was called to the Ontario bar in 1999. Kathleen is an active member and volunteer with the Ontario Bar Association as well as the Canadian Bar Association. She has been working to help the Associations do better at providing programming and services that meets the needs of sole and small firm business lawyers and the kinds of clients and transactions they work with. Kathleen has worked primarily as a sole practitioner throughout her years of practice. Kathleen organizes, moderates and co-chairs Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs for lawyers regularly and has done so for several years. She has been a previous speaker at Law Society CPD programs as well. She is a member of the County of Carleton Law (CCLA) Association and an active volunteer with the CCLA as well including acting as co-chair of the organizing Committee for the East Region Solicitors Conference.
