The program is practical and trial-focused, with sessions on trial planning, preliminary inquiries, evidentiary motions, co-accused trials, technological evidence, expert witnesses and pre-charge conferences. Speakers and panelists come from across the system: Crown, defence, the judiciary, police and forensic experts.

You will have the privilege of hearing from and connecting with judges from the Superior Courts of Ontario and Québec, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the Ontario Court of Justice, and the Nunavut Court of Justice.

The conference closes with an "Ask Me Anything" session on trial tips with Justice Mary T. Moreau of the Supreme Court of Canada and the Honourable David Watt.

One of the greatests advantages of being an OBA member is your connection to a national community of legal professionals, and events like this one enrich your perspectives and practices and can deepen your knowledge and strengthen your practice at home in Ontario.
