The new section name, Privacy and Access to Information Law, more accurately reflects the scope of practice of many members of the Section and is consistent with Ontario’s public sector legislation that combines both privacy and access to information. Access to information is often a topic of the section’s programs and articles. We are also moving to align with the name of the national level, namely, the Canadian Bar Association’s Privacy and Access to Information Section.
