The Ontario Bar Association (OBA), a branch of the Canadian Bar Association and Ontario’s largest most diverse network of lawyers, is moving forward with an ambitious and achievable agenda to tackle inequality in the justice sector and beyond over the next 10 years.

The Class Action Bench-Bar Liaison Committee (“Committee”) is a organization constituted in 2018, with a view to developing practice initiatives to improve the conduct of class proceedings and to facilitate communication between the class action bench and bar. The membership of the Committee is composed of approximately six Ontario judges and up to 12 members of the bar. The bar membership attempts to achieve a balance of representation of both plaintiff and defence perspectives.

Lawyers Lead Free Public Information Sessions During Make A Will Month Everyone needs a properly drafted will. This month, the Ontario Bar Association (OBA) and its members will be promoting the importance of wills as they mark Make A Will Month with free virtual legal information sessions in every region of the province.
