Submissions and Legislative Updates

The OBA provided a submission to the legislative committee considering Bill 89, the Supporting Children, Youth and Families Act, 2017. The Bill repeals and replaces the current Child and Family Services Act.

The Ontario Bar Association (“OBA”) appreciates the opportunity to comment on issues raised in the Law Society of Upper Canada (“Law Society”) Challenges Faced by Racialized Licensees Working Group (“Working Group”) Final Report “Working Together for Change: Strategies to Address Issues of Systemic Racism in the Legal Professions” (the “Final Report”).

The OBA appreciates the opportunity to make a submission on the Government’s Co-ordinated Land Us Planning Review, including the Proposed Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2016, the Proposed Greenbelt Plan (2016), the Proposed Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan (2016) and the Proposed Niagara Escarpment Plan (2016)
