Calcagni Law is looking for a junior associate to join our team. This position would include, but is not limited to, Civil Litigation, Small Claims, and Landlord and Tenant Board matters.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Meeting and communicating with clients, counsel, tenants, etc.;
- Assisting with the preparation of Court and Tribunal filings;
- Reviewing and drafting pleadings, correspondence, and mediation briefs;
- Attendance at examinations for discovery, settlement conferences, Landlord and Tenant Board hearings and trials.
Successful candidate will possess:
- LL.B. or J.D. degree;
- Must be in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Attention to detail and accuracy;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team.
