Ways You Can Help

Donations of publicly traded stocks or mutual funds are most welcome, and can reduce your taxes.  When you donate publicly traded stocks or mutual funds that have appreciated in value, the capital gains tax may be eliminated and you will receive a charitable tax receipt, which allows you to save and give at the same time.

Honour a loved one or colleague and special occassion such as their call to the bar, promotion, birthday or retirement, by making a donation in their name. We can send an acknowledgement card to the person or their family on your behalf or give a card to you to give to them.

Leave your own legacy to justice, and remember the OBA Foundation in your Will. 

You can include us in your Will, trust or beneficiary designation such as for a life insurance policy or RRSP by leaving a specific amount or securities as a legacy to the OBA Foundation, or arrange for a special fund for specified purposes, please contact us at foundation@oba.org or call 1 (800) 668-8900 ext. 367.  We would be happy to assist you to achieve your legacy goals.
