OBA Extends Presidency of Karen Perron

Karen Perron will continue as OBA President for the first six months of the 2022-2023 term. The decision comes following the appointment of 1st Vice-President Ranjan Agarwal – who was the incoming president – to the Superior Court of Justice.

TORONTO – The legal community came together on Thursday evening to celebrate outstanding members of the profession who have made exceptional contributions to the practice of law in Ontario and to the Ontario Bar Association. This was the first OBA Awards Gala in three years, after the popular event was sidelined due to public health measures brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ontario Court of Justice Judicial appointment

The OBA congratulates Justice Matthew Stanley on his appointment to the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph effective April 28, 2022. Justice Stanley, a sole practitioner, is known for his criminal defence work, as well as real estate, wills, and corporate matters.
