Canada’s Largest Legal CPD Event Keeps Lawyers Connected

TORONTO – Next week, legal eyes will be focused on the Ontario Bar Association (OBA) as it once again brings together the top minds of the legal profession for the 45th edition of OBA’s Institute.

From February 4-8, the OBA is offering lawyers from across the province the unique opportunity to connect with thought leaders, experts and colleagues to discover and discuss innovative ideas and learn about new approaches to the challenges they face every day. Special events and networking opportunities also give lawyers a chance to reconnect and build new referral networks.

“Institute has always been a great place to not only stay on top of what’s new, but also network with others in the legal profession,” says Erin Cullin, co-chair of Institute. “With more than 250 speakers – including some real visionaries, both within the profession and outside of it – Institute has something for every lawyer, no matter what area you practice in.”

In addition to more than 30 of the best legal CPD programs the profession has to offer, the OBA is also offering four new curated program streams for solicitors and corporate counsel, as well as litigators, plus those who are part of a general practice firm and those looking for a career or business development boost.

“This new addition really takes Institute to another level,” says Institute co-chair Michael Kealy. “Whether you’re looking for ways to build your practice, market your firm, carve out a path to partnership, or examine a wide variety of issues you will face as a lawyer, these uniquely designed programs will give you everything you need. And you can get them all in one place.”
