The OBA is pleased to announce Brock Jones, Counsel, Chief Justice of Ontario (OCJ) as the recipient of the 2020 OBA Award for Excellence in Criminal Justice. Mr. Jones was honoured at an online program and presentation on Tuesday, June 16, 2020.

On June 17th, the provincial government announced the creation of the new Ontario Land Tribunals (“OLT”).  The OLT, chaired by Marie Hubbard, will be made up of the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal, the Environmental Review Tribunal, the Board of Negotiation, the Conservation Review Board and the Mining and Lands Tribunal. 

As lawyers, the members of the OBA are dedicated to making sure every Ontarian can equally and reliably trust all components of the administration of justice to protect our rights, keep us safe and guard against unfairness.

The Ontario Bar Association – in partnership with community organizations across Ontario – is once again providing critical legal information throughout Seniors’ Month. These free online information sessions will help seniors, families and caregivers gain more knowledge about the rights and responsibilities of older adults and those who care for them under Ontario law.
