OBA Announces New Awards for Excellence in Tax and Health Law

  • February 18, 2016

Each year, the Ontario Bar Association (OBA) recognizes lawyers who demonstrate both a commitment to our member-based organization that advances the interests of the justice system and who make valuable contributions to specific practice areas.  The OBA has two new awards for outstanding contributions in the practice of health and taxation law.

“Members of the OBA are lawyers who have a special dedication to their profession,” says OBA President Ed Upenieks. “An OBA award marks an outstanding achievement in a lawyer’s career, and provides a special opportunity to celebrate excellence within the profession.”

The new awards are:

OBA Susan Hilary Davidson Memorial Award for Excellence in Health Law

This award was established to recognize the outstanding achievements of OBA members practising in the area of health law in the province of Ontario. It is named for the late Susan Hilary Davidson, in recognition of her excellence and dedication as a lawyer specializing in the practice of health law. OBA Award for Excellence in Taxation Law
