Juno Award winner, First Nations leader, Supreme Court judge among roster of speakers
TORONTO - OBA Institute, the largest legal conference of its kind in Canada, launches Thursday.
The roster of more than 300 speakers includes:

David Usher, the Juno Award winning musician, who will talk about how people can improve their own creativity.

Ovide Mercredi, the former National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations and key participant in both the Meech Lake Accord and Charlottetown Accord constitutional discussions, will speak about the need to honour and enforce treaties.

Justice Thomas Cromwell of the Supreme Court of Canada will speak about the future of family law.
More than 1,800 lawyers will attend OBA Institute, an annual continuing professional development conference for lawyers presented by the Ontario Bar Association. It happens Feb. 6-7 at Toronto’s Westin Harbour Castle Convention Centre and Feb. 8 at the OBA’s convention centre at 20 Toronto Street.
