The Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) has posted a second regulatory proposal regarding excess soil management on the Environmental Registry of Ontario (#013-2774). Comments on this current proposal close June 15, 2018.
Members will recall that a first regulatory proposal regarding excess soil management was posted in the spring of 2017 (#013-0299). That initial regulatory package included a new proposed regulation, amendments to existing regulations and related sampling and reuse standards. Comments received by the MOECC on the previous proposal have been considered as part of the decision-making process on the revised proposal.
