No. The LPP is administered by the Law Society of Upper Canada. The LSUC selected Ryerson to deliver the program in English, and the OBA is in a strategic relationship with Ryerson. The OBA’s role is to provide advice on the program’s curriculum and to help identify mentors and opportunities for the four-month work placement periods.

The four-month training course starts on August 2015, and runs through to December 2015.  The four-month work placement begins after the training course.

Yes, the University of Ottawa is offering the French-language version of the LPP as the Programme de pratique du droit.

The Executive Director of the LPP at Ryerson University is OBA member and former Attorney General of Ontario Chris Bentley. Chris is committed to the program’s success and will be leading the consultations held prior to the program’s commencement.
