Family Legal Services Review Comments on MAG Consultation Paper

The Ontario Bar Association ("OBA") appreciates the opportunity to provide comments on the Family Law Services Review Consultation Paper (“the MAG Consultation Paper”) issued by the Ministry of the Attorney General (the “Ministry”), which asks whether the delivery of family legal services should be expanded to include people who are not lawyers, such as paralegals, law clerks and law students.

Closing the Gender Wage Gap Consultation

The Ontario Bar Association (the “OBA”) appreciates the opportunity to provide a submission to the Gender Wage Gap Steering Committee (the “Steering Committee”), appointed in April 2015 by the Minister of Labour to lead a public consultation on “Closing the Gender Wage Gap” (the “Consultation”), after which the Steering Committee will make recommendations that inform a strategy to close the wage gap between men and women.
