Update on Infrastructure Ontario’s (IOs) Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Monitoring Web-Portal

  • April 03, 2023

There is a pending change to Infrastructure Ontario’s (IOs) Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) monitoring web-portal, where you may currently be accessing air quality data.

The Ministry of the Attorney General has learned from IO that the vendor who had been administering the web portal, Energy Metrics, has filed for bankruptcy and that the portal is now permanently offline. IO is working diligently with a new vendor, Edged Energy, to implement a new platform, which is anticipated to take up to 10 weeks.

Other HVAC measures continue to be in place such as MERV 13 filters, HEPA units, IO’s 10 Point-Plan, and Precision Air Conditioning units (PACs) where required, to ensure air quality is maintained.  Of note, as of January 2023, the ministry has taken over 9.1 million IAQ readings in our facilities and, of these, only 0.64% have been out of range of our performance targets.

The ministry will provide updates about the new platform as they become available.
