Starting April 4, Legal Aid Ontario's (LAO) contact centre hours will change to Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (EST). Currently, the contact centre is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (EST).
The contact centre extended its hours during the pandemic to better assist clients and make our services more accessible. The demand for extended hours has since decreased, and we will return to our regular hours. We will be using what we learned from the extended hours initiative to improve our client services.
Clients can call us toll-free at 1-800-668-8258 (or 416-979-1446 in the GTA) for help in over 300 languages. TTY callers may use the Bell Relay Service at 1-800 855-0511.
