​Health Information Update Cornwall Courthouse (Jan 3)

MAG has learned that that a person who works in the building tested positive for COVID-19. The person began to feel symptomatic on December 26th, underwent testing on January 2nd and received results on January 3rd. View January 3rd Memo for the Cornwall Courthouse.

Health Information Update – Kingston Courthouse (Dec 28)

MAG has learned that the Kingston Courthouse (5 Court Street) was declared an outbreak location by KFLA Public Health due to two positive cases with an epidemiological link occurring in the same work area within a 14-day period where both cases could have reasonably acquired their infections in the workplace. View December 28th  Memo for the Kingston Courthouse.

Health Information Update - Kingston Courthouse (Dec 27)

This update is regarding the Kingston Courthouse (5 Court Street). MAG has learned that a person who works in the building tested positive for COVID19. The person was not symptomatic, underwent testing and received results on December 26, 2020. This person was last in the building on December 24, 2020 and did not experience symptoms of COVID-19 while in the workplace. The employee was working within the administration office located on the main floor.

Health Information Update – Kingston Courthouse (Dec 24)

This is a health information update regarding the Kingston Courthouse located at 5 Court Street in Kingston. MAG has learned that an individual who works in the building tested positive for COVID-19. The person/individual began to feel symptomatic on Monday, December 21st, underwent testing on Tuesday, December 22nd and received results on Thursday, December 24th. Regulation to Amend Rules of Civil Procedure

On December 8, 2020, a regulation was filed to amend the Rules of Civil Procedure, O. Reg. 711-20. The regulation makes administrative amendments to align the Rules of Civil Procedure with legislative amendments that were introduced to remove the office of a traditional master.

OCJ & SCJ (All regions): Dec 7 Update

The Daily Court Lists website publishes the daily court lists for both the OCJ and SCJ. This website provides information about case names, as well as the time, location, and reasons for court appearances. As of December 7, 2020, two changes have been made to this website

OCJ Update re Criminal Case Management

The OCJ has issued a new Notice to the Profession and the Public regarding criminal case management appearances. Previous OCJ Notices stipulating that criminal case management appearances will be adjourned for five weeks (with a discretionary bench warrant if the accused person does not appear) will end on November 27, 2020. As of November 30, 2020, all accused persons will be required to attend their scheduled appearances in criminal case management court.
