MAG haslearned that a person who works in the building tested positive for COVID-19. The person began to feel symptomatic on January 12th, underwent testing on January 13, 2021 and received results on January 15th.  View January 12th Memo for the London Courthouse.

This health information update is regarding the Waterloo Region Courthouse, 85 Frederick Street, Kitchener. MAG has learned that a non-OPS person who works at the courthouse has tested positive for COVID-19. The person underwent testing on December 30, 2020. With the government’s December 21, 2020 COVID-19 announcement, the Court recognizes that some counsel, parties, and justice participants may be unable to attend a courthouse in person.

The OCJ has amended its October 22nd Notice regarding the further expansion of virtual criminal case management courts. These case management courts will launch in select locations on the following dates:

On December 8, 2020, a regulation was filed to amend the Rules of Civil Procedure, O. Reg. 711-20. The regulation makes administrative amendments to align the Rules of Civil Procedure with legislative amendments that were introduced to remove the office of a traditional master.

MAG has advised that a non-OPS individual present at the John Sopinka Courthouse on Tuesday, December 8th has subsequently tested positive for COVID-19. For details see the memo provided by the MAG Recovery Secretariat.

The Daily Court Lists website publishes the daily court lists for both the OCJ and SCJ. This website provides information about case names, as well as the time, location, and reasons for court appearances. As of December 7, 2020, two changes have been made to this website:
