Welcome to the first issue of the LPM Section's E-Newsletter. This is the first electronic newsletter created by OBA and the first where Section Executive members have been able to load content themselves directly to the oba.org web site.

Management and entrepreneurial goals are often overlooked in the busy day-to-day delivery of services to clients. By setting appropriate goals and by leveraging your team, systems, and marketing this article helps uncover opportunities that will improve the business of your practice.

On May 9, 2003 the Law Practice Management Section and the Young Lawyers' Division presented an evening discussion to help young lawyers understand how they should prepare themselves to become partnership candidates. Attendees walked away with the following message: it all comes down to attitude, initiative and mentoring. This article summarizes the various comments made by the panellists that evening.
