The Roger Fisher TributeOn September 27, a gala event organized by the OBA's ADR Section in cooperation with The ADR Institute of Canada, The Advocates Society and The Law Society of Upper Canada. This reception, held to honour Roger Fisher, currently the Samuel Williston Professor of Law, Emeritus at Harvard Law School, was attended by almost 300 people and took place at Toronto’s Arcadian Court. Professor Fisher is the world renowned master of negotiation, founder of the Harvard Negotiation project and co-author of the best selling book entitled Getting to Yes. This event was supported by 22 additional associations from around the world and speakers paid tribute to Professor Fisher’s efforts in support of world piece. A video presentation outlined Professor Fisher's involvement in peace negotiations in the Middle East, South Africa, Ecuador and Peru. The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the Roger Fisher Negotiation Training Scholarship, sponsored by Stitt Feld Handy Group. The Tribute was supported by a grant from the Law Foundation of Ontario.
