Governance

The activities of the Ontario Bar Association are governed by the By-laws of the Association, last ratified by the Annual General Meeting of September 15, 2006.

Seven officers of the Association are responsible for the regular activities and administration of the Branch:

  • President- Gregory D. Goulin, LSM
  • Vice-President- Jamie Kevin Trimble
  • Secretary (Executive & Council)- Carole J. Brown
  • Treasurer- Orlando Da Silva
  • Immediate Past President- James C. Morton
  • Chair of Professional Development- Jacqueline L. King

All officers, with the exception of the Executive Director, are elected members of the Association. The Executive Director is the Chief Operating Officer of the Ontario Bar Association and the only paid officer of the Association.

There is a 20 member Executive Committee (which includes the above officers) that meets on a monthly basis to deal with the business of the Association.
