On June 1, 2016 the OBA Award of Excellence was proudly presented to Malcolm MacKillop of Shields O'Donnell Mackillop LLP at the Law Society of Upper Canada, Convocation Hall celebrating Malcolm’s contributions to the practice of labour and employment law.

On May 31, 2016 the OBA Award of Excellence was proudly presented to John McLeish of McLeish Orlando LPP at the Toronto Eaton Centre Marriott celebrating John’s contributions to the Insurance Bar”

On June 2, 2016, the Charity and Not-For-Profit Law Section held its Annual General Meeting and presented the AMS John Hodgson Award. This year the section chose to honour Brian Iler of Iler Campbell LLP. For 42 years, Brian has focused on enabling social change. Through his passionate efforts he has had a significant impact on the non-profit sector.

On May 12th, 2016 the OBA Insurance Law Section proudly presented the 11th Annual OBA Award of Excellence in Insurance Law to Wilfrid Menninga of Templeman Menninga LLP. The lively event was held at the Cataraqui Gold & Country Club in Kingston, Ontario and featured warm remarks from keynote speaker The Honourable Brian Abrams.

Brock Jones was presented with the OBA's Heather McArthur Memorial Young Lawyers' Award at our annual Award Gala on April 20, 2016.
