The Ontario Bar Association extends its congratulations to Paul Schabas on being elected as the new Treasurer of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Treasurer Schabas is a long-time member of the Ontario Bar Association since his call to the bar in 1986. A partner at Blakes, his practice is primarily focused on complex commercial litigation and arbitration. He is also a leading media and constitutional lawyer and has been a Bencher since 2007.
The OBA looks forward to working with Treasurer Schabas as he leads the Law Society to serve the interests of the public and advance the cause of justice in Ontario.
The next Convocation of the Law Society will be held on September 22, 2016.
