Call for Volunteers
OBA YLD Mock Trial Program
For the past eleven years, the OBA Young Lawyers' Division (Eastern Ontario) has conducted a mock trial program for grade 6 students across Ottawa. The program’s success depends on volunteers to assist in delivering the program.
The materials are already prepared. Therefore, the only time involved is some preparation time and attending a school on two occasions for approximately 1 1/2 hours each time. For the minimal amount of time spent, the reward is great for the students, the teachers and our volunteers.
This is a great way to give back to your community and to help to promote the integrity of our profession. The deadline for the call for volunteers is Friday, January 27, 2012.
