Workers' Compensation
This Section provides the latest information on issues and developments in workers' compensation law, including changes in legislation, caselaw, WSIB policies and WSIAT practices. The Section is truly unique as it offers worker and employer advocates, Tribunal and Board lawyers and adjudicators, and non-lawyers working in the field, a neutral and congenial forum to constructively discuss and to learn about issues of common interest.
The electronic newlsetter contains lively comments on current policy issues and caselaw. If your clients need advice on workers' compensation or workplace issues such as occupational diseases, job related mental stress, WSIB employer audits and investigations, the right to sue and alternative remedies, this Section will be invaluable!
The Section created the "Ron Ellis Award" to recognize exceptional achievement in the field of worker's compensation law. It is awarded annually at the year-end program.
