Welcome to the Ontario Bar Association’s Student Division Executive (SDE) page. The SDE represents the interests of law school students and articling students in Ontario and is integral to the OBA.
The SDE is composed of four articling students [Ottawa, Southwest Ontario, Toronto (x2)] and seven law student ambassadors [Osgoode, Ottawa (Civil, Common), Queen's, Toronto, Western, Windsor]. Please do not hesitate to contact your student representatives with any ideas, questions or concerns.
This is my second year with the SDE and I look forward to working with law students and articling students across the province to advocate for their interests. As Chair, I sit on the OBA Board of Directors and will do my best to ensure the student perspective is taken into account in all major OBA decisions. Law student and articling ambassadors also play a vital role within their legal communities and host various events throughout the year.
As a member of the OBA, law school students are able to take advantage of FREE membership and articling students are offered a reduced fee membership. Membership in the OBA can play a significant role in law students’ and articling students’ careers. Please use the information found in this website to discover more about the advantages of and OBA membership, including: student awards, networking opportunities, free educational Practice Sections and member savings. I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity and join the OBA today.
