Complimentary Diversity Training Workshop for Sole Practitioners and Small Firms

Join the OBA's Equality Committee and the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law for an interactive and informative workshop on using and not abusing the Human Rights Code of Ontario. Our workshop will include realistic scenarios and participants will be invited to share their own thoughts and experiences and to interact with our expert panel and within their groups. Participants will be provided with practical tools to ensure compliance with the Human Rights Code, relevant sections of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Customer Service Regulation under the Accessibility for Ontarians for Disabilities Act (AODA). Participants will learn how to avoid human rights complaints from employees and provide better service to clients, especially in light of the customer service obligations under the OODA regulations which came into effect for small private-sector employers on January 1, 2012.
